General
The contract is between you, the person who's name is on the booking for Whiterow Stable and the owner. This lead person is responsible for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to the conditions set out below.
Your responsibilities
You must keep the holiday accommodation at Whiterow Stable and all furniture and fittings in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. You must leave the premises in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which you found it on you arrival. You will be responsible of all breakages, damage or loss to the property during your rental period and will be responsible for paying appropriate compensation in the event of any breakages, damage or loss. You should report any items accidentally broken or damaged prior to your departure from the barn. (A broken glass is not an issue, but burns or pets that chew furniture would be, as an example). Please also report any problems or failures in a timely manner so that it can be dealt with as soon as possible (we might need to call out plumbers, electrician, etc and its always easier through the day than in the evening).
The contract
A 20% deposit is required to form the contract to book the property. This is refundable according to the cancellation policy (below).
The balance is due 14 days before the arrival date. Failure to pay the balance at this time will constitute cancellation of the property, and cancellation charges will come in to effect.
Cancellation charges policy (cancellations by you)
A full refund (of monies paid so far) will be given if the cancellation is more than 30 days before the arrival date.
A charge of 20% of the full booking cost will be made if the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before the arrival date (but more than 14 days before the arrival date).
A charge of the full amount will be made if the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date.
Cancellations by Whiterow Stable
In the unlikely event Whiterwo Stable is forced to cancel the reservation (for reasons outside of our control such as fire, flood, etc) we will inform you as soon as possible. We will also attempt to find alternative accommodation of a similar standard and location. If we are unable to provide acceptable alternative accommodation Whiterow Stable will refund all monies paid and shall be under no liability.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted in the barn by prior arrangement with the proprietor. Please note that they should be clean, well behaved, house trained dogs. However, the repair or replacement costs of damage caused by a dog will be at the pet owners expense. The costs will also include, if the damage is excessive, the cost of refunds or the cost of alternative accommodation for following guests.
Access
Access to the barn on the day of arrival is generally from 2:00pm although if you arrive a little earlier and the cottage is ready you will have earlier access. On the day of departure, you must vacate the property by 10:00am to allow the cleaners to prepare the cottage for the next guests. The proprietor or their representative shall be allowed free access to the property at all resonable times. We will only ever request access to your property in case of an emergency i.e. a water leak. The proprietors or their representative reserve the right to refuse admission to their property and to require any person to leave when they consider there is a breach of contract or deem that there is damage to the property or cause of nuisance or conduct in an offensive manner.
Whiterow Stable's responsibilities
Whiterow Stable, in the event of failure of any equipment or facilities such as boilers, ovens, oil supply, water supply or electricity supply, will endeavour to repair, have repaired, restore or have replaced as required the necessary equipment as soon as we possibly can. However we will not be held responsible for failures that are out with our control.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the barn. Charges will be made should this happen for specialist cleaning.
Smoking is allowed in the garden area of the holiday property.
Equipment
All electrical appliances have been tested and approved within the terms of the Fire Assessment Regulations. As the use of your own personal electrical equipment is out of our control, it must be at your own personal risk.
Force Majeure
The Owner cannot accept responsibility or liability for any alterations delay or cancellations, or any other loss or damage caused by war, civil strife, terrorist action, industrial disputes, fire, sickness, bad weather, epidemics, acts of any government or public authority, or any event outside our control.
